OK, we made it to Nepal. So did all of our luggage.
Katmandu is a busy, polluted city. Our taxi to the hotel had to detour due to a Maoist demonstration on the main thoroughfare. Tomorrow we begin a brief language school and begin to fight the jetlag. We'll be in Katmandu for a week, then begin our trek to Manang next friday.

Glad to hear you made it! Been thinking about you, but I hear the ambien is well stocked so you should be good to go?! Have fun in language class...looking forward to reading your adventures while I am slaving away at work.
ReplyDeleteGlad you made it, your mother worries so this will make my life a lot easier. All those Russian and French lessons should come in very helpful (or so I was previously informed). Be wise-be safe. Love-Dad
ReplyDeleteSomeone needs to tell your dad that you studied SPANISH. Glad you are safe!!! When do you get a class in YAK management?
ReplyDeleteI'm envious of your adventures. My adventures today consisted of: a chamber orchestra concert, lunch with friends, and driving cab for daughter & grandaughter.
ReplyDeleteHope you are staying warm!!
